1. Acceptance of these Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using Saftera, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
"Saftera", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the Saftera app and website operated by Waitcle. "You" refers to the person using the app or website.
2. What Saftera provides
Saftera is an offline safety and field utility app. Features may include offline maps, GPS status, current position, route recording, waypoints, journal entries, SOS messages, rescue card information, emergency contacts, Morse, siren and sound tools, flashlight and strobe tools, compass, level, barometer, altitude, coordinate tools, world clock, offline translation, unit tools, and diagnostics.
Features vary by device, operating system, permissions, sensors, battery level, downloaded map packages, downloaded language models, network availability, and regional availability.
3. Safety and emergency disclaimer
Saftera is not an emergency service. It does not automatically contact police, fire departments, rescue teams, emergency dispatch, embassies, hospitals, or other authorities unless a feature opens a system app or lets you share information through a service you choose.
Saftera is not a substitute for calling local emergency numbers, certified navigation equipment, official maps, survival training, official alerts, medical advice, legal advice, professional judgment, or common sense.
Maps, GPS, compass, barometer, altitude, translation, rescue card information, emergency contact details, siren, flashlight, and other tools may be inaccurate, incomplete, delayed, unavailable, blocked by permissions, limited by battery or hardware, or unsuitable for your situation. Test the app before relying on it and carry appropriate backup equipment for high-risk activities.
4. Your content and responsibilities
You are responsible for information you enter or save in Saftera, including emergency profile details, medical notes, rescue card content, journal entries, waypoints, route names, and shared messages. Keep it accurate, lawful, and appropriate for your intended use.
You decide when to share information from Saftera through SMS, email, clipboard, QR code, screenshots, external links, phone calls, or other apps. Once information leaves Saftera, the receiving app, service, network, or person may handle it under their own terms and privacy policy.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Saftera unlawfully, to harm others, to impersonate official emergency or government services, to misuse SOS, siren, flashlight, strobe, or emergency features, to interfere with map delivery or security systems, to scrape or redistribute map packages except as allowed by applicable licenses, or to reverse engineer third-party software or models where prohibited by law or terms.
6. Third-party services, data, and licenses
Saftera may use third-party services and materials, including operating system services, Google ML Kit for on-device translation, Cloudflare or similar infrastructure for website and map delivery, app store services, email providers, and map data from public or licensed sources.
Google ML Kit translation runs on device for translation input and output, but ML Kit may contact Google servers for model downloads, updates, compatibility information, performance metrics, and abuse prevention. You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract ML Kit software or models except where applicable law allows it. ML Kit translation may also be subject to Google attribution and usage guidelines.
Map data may include OpenStreetMap and OpenMapTiles-derived data. Those materials are subject to their own attribution requirements, licenses, limitations, and availability. Third-party services may change, become unavailable, or apply their own terms and policies.
7. Changes, availability, and ownership
We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue features, map catalogs, map packages, download URLs, supported regions, supported languages, website pages, or support channels at any time.
We do not guarantee that Saftera will be uninterrupted, error-free, accurate, current, secure, compatible with every device, or available in every country or region.
Saftera, its name, brand, app design, website, software, and original content are owned by Waitcle or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of Saftera. Open-source and third-party materials remain subject to their own licenses.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Saftera is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Waitcle and Saftera will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or exemplary damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, safety, opportunity, or other intangible losses arising from or related to your use of Saftera.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers or limitations. In those places, the limitations apply only to the extent permitted by law.
9. Termination, governing law, changes, and contact
You may stop using Saftera at any time. We may restrict access to services such as map delivery if we reasonably believe there is abuse, unlawful activity, security risk, or a violation of these Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, except where mandatory local consumer protection laws require otherwise.
We may update these Terms when the app, website, law, service providers, or our practices change. The effective date shows when this page was last updated.
